Restoration Skilled Concrete Laborer-Finisher

Position Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Restoration Concrete Finisher to join Gerber construction’s Restoration team. This role is responsible for restoring, resurfacing, and finishing concrete surfaces in heavy civil, commercial and residential settings. The ideal candidate will have experience with concrete patching, grinding, polishing, sealing, and coatings application, particularly in restoration or repair projects.

• Perform concrete surface preparation including chipping, grinding, and cleaning.
• Repair damaged concrete using appropriate patching techniques and materials.
• Apply overlays, coatings, sealers, and decorative finishes as specified.
• Use power tools such as grinders, clarifiers, and polishers safely and effectively.
• Ensure finished concrete surfaces meet project specifications and customer expectations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, or project plans.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure worksite cleanliness and organization.
• Coordinate with team members, supervisors, and other trades on-site.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.

• 2+ years of experience in concrete finishing, preferably in restoration work.
• Familiarity with surface preparation techniques, epoxy coatings, and concrete repair methods.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Knowledge of construction safety standards and procedures.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

• OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
• Ability to mix and color match concrete or mortar.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
