Youth Counselor

We are seeking male and female House Counselors (21+) to join our team at the Safeguard Interim Home in Lehi, Utah, with 12-hour overnight shifts available Thursday–Saturday on a rotating weekend schedule.

This job is for overnight shifts, 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.

Safeguard Inc. offers a high-quality option for the short-term placement and crisis stabilization of adolescent and young adult males and females. At Safeguard, we focus on providing a structured, supportive environment centered on safety, stabilization, and healthy transitions.

Our staff plays a critical role in maintaining consistency, supporting youth through emotional regulation, and helping them prepare for their next placement.

Staff at the Safehouse provide daily care, guidance, and consistent support to youth in crisis. This includes engaging with clients, serving as a positive role model, and managing behavior in a calm, structured manner while supporting stability and healthy transitions.

In alignment with Safeguard Inc.’s mission, our Safehouse operates with 24‑hour supervision, a 2:1 staff-to-client ratio, and a maximum of three clients, ensuring safety and individualized care. Staff support programming, including self‑harm prevention, therapeutic support, medication administration, and close supervision.

You will also assist with daily needs, cooking, cleaning, facilitate activities, and help maintain a structured routine throughout each shift.

• 21 years or older
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Current & valid driver’s license
• Dependable transportation is a must
• Can pass a background check
