QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid Florida teaching certificate covering appropriate area of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience managing business/department functions and staff.
Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy minimum qualifications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Clear and concise oral and written communication; analytical, mathematical, organizational, and prioritization skills; flexibility and adaptability; interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret and enforce pertinent regulations, policies, and procedures for the functional area of assignment.
- Experience using multiple project management tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, Public Records, Sunshine Law, FERPA, and related privacy laws.
- Ability to work effectively under stress, deadlines, and multitasking.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and maintain high energy in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to communicate technical information to technical and non‑technical personnel.
- Ability to deliver high‑quality customer service promptly and professionally.
- Plan individual or cooperative programs of study that meet diverse student needs.
- Assist in establishing department or grade‑level curriculum objectives and developing a comprehensive implementation and evaluation plan.
- Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for students’ maturity and interests.
- Guide the learning process toward curriculum goals and establish clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects.
- Employ appropriate instructional methods and materials.
- Assess student accomplishments regularly and provide progress reports as required.
- Diagnose learning strengths and weaknesses and seek district specialist assistance as needed.
- Counsel with colleagues, students, or parents when appropriate.
- Assist administration in implementing student life policies and develop classroom behavior rules; maintain order fairly.
- Plan and supervise assignments for support personnel and volunteers; evaluate effectiveness.
- Use technology effectively in teaching and learning.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with law and policy.
- Perform Medicaid administrative claim activities as directed by the SDAC Guide.
- Adhere to the Code of Ethics of the Education Profession in Florida and all district policy requirements.
- Support school improvement initiatives by participating in activities, services, and programs.
- Recognize indicators of student distress or abuse and act per procedures and law.
- Establish appropriate testing environments and maintain test security.
4 hours per day. Position Type:
Part‑time.
