Clinical Pharmacist

Job Summary

HCA Florida Lehigh Hospital, a 53‑bed acute care facility in Lehigh Acres, FL, seeks a Clinical Pharmacist to provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services. The pharmacist will ensure safe procurement, preparation, labeling, distribution, and control of all medications.

• Coordinate and assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical pharmacy programs to meet patient and community needs.
• Provide clinical pharmacy support and execute clinical pharmacy programs across all patient areas.
• Review medication orders and technician work for appropriateness of drugs, dosage, route, and interactions; adjust dosages and schedules as needed.
• Ensure medications are safely dispensed to patients in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Closely monitor narcotic transactions by checking all controlled substances dispensed and reconciling quantities/types of narcotics leaving the pharmacy.
• Assist the department with physician consults as needed and provide timely drug information from reliable sources.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and other interdisciplinary team members to meet patient needs.

• Bachelor of Science or Pharm
  
  D in Pharmacy from an accredited college.
• Experience as a pharmacist in an acute‑care hospital setting or pharmacy practice residency preferred.
• Current Florida pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Eligibility to sit for the North American Pharmacist Licensure Exam (NAPLEX).
• Strong critical‑thinking, service‑excellence, interpersonal communication, and PC skills.
