Commercial HVAC​/R Technician

Upchurch seeks a Commercial HVAC/R Technician to support clients with reliable, expert service. In this field-based role, you will install, maintain, and repair commercial heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems while delivering professional, client-focused support. Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex issues, performing preventive maintenance, interpreting technical documentation, and ensuring code and safety compliance. You'll collaborate with project teams, communicate clearly with clients, and contribute to high-quality, long-term technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC/R equipment at client sites
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and system inspections
• Install and start up new HVAC/R systems and components
• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations for clients
• Communicate clearly with clients on findings, options, and next steps
• Ensure compliance with safety, code, and environmental regulations
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers on complex issues
• Maintain tools, test equipment, and service vehicle in good condition
• Provide occasional on-call or after-hours support as required
