Job DescriptionTitle: Student Specific Paraprofessional
Reports To: Tina Boss, Elementary School Principal
QualificationsAssociates degree, two years of college, or passed state assessment required as to ability to assist in the instruction of math, reading, and writing. Special education experience is strongly preferred.
Job Responsibilities- Instruct student(s) as assigned
- Follow student specific programming
- Collect and graph data, if necessary
- Provide reinforcement strategies
- Use appropriate prompting procedures
- Assist with activities of daily living
- Experience with behavior de‑escalation strategies preferred
- Any other related duties as may be assigned by the building principal or designee
The paraprofessional must also be able to communicate effectively with students and staff, be punctual in all assignments, observe all District policies applicable to this position, and accept responsibility of assigned tasks.
