This role provides leadership and support to the CNO in all nursing patient care functions. It involves assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on multiple units. The Director will assume 24/7 responsibility for assigned areas and will support the CNO to maintain high-quality, safe care, staff competency, and resource management.
Job Responsibilities- Assume 24/7 responsibility for Director’s assigned areas.
- Lead assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of nursing practice on a multi‑unit level.
- Support CNO to ensure high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care.
- Maintain competency of clinical staff and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
- Serve as role model and advocate for the nursing discipline.
- Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice.
- Minimum 5 years of psychiatric nursing leadership experience.
- MSN or associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor’s degree in a health‑care related field or a BSN.
- Certified or registered to practice as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy; CPR.
