Job DescriptionAbout our Clients
Based in Leicester, North East of the City, our clients are seeking an experienced senior practitioner who may wish to step up from Room Leader in to a Deputy Manager role, you will need to be an experienced Room Leader, or maybe a deputy manager looking for a new challenge, salary is up to £38k depending on experience, based on 40 hr working week, with great benefits with this very well established nursery.
RequirementsWhat our Clients are looking for
Essential for the Nursery Deputy Manager Role
- A minimum Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (full and relevant)
- A minimum 3 years’ experience leading or supporting a team in a nursery or early years setting
- Has experience of being in a management role, supporting the nursery in the absence of the Manager
- Strong knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and safeguarding practices
- Support and supervise staff while delivering high‑quality care and education across the nursery setting
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures within the setting
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff in the nursery setting
- Passionate about early years education and children’s development within a nursery setting
- Confident leader, able to motivate and support staff and contribute to the management team
- Proactive, flexible, and committed to maintaining high standards across the setting
- Promotes best practice, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment in the nursery supporting the team on a daily basis
