Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your mechanical expertise and customer service skills in a dynamic environment. The position involves working with a range of tools and equipment, providing vital support to our service department.

Hours

Monday-Thursday 8.30am-3pm, friday 8.30am-12pm

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics of vehicles using schematics and technical manuals
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
  • Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out assembly and repair tasks efficiently
  • Interpret technical drawings and schematics to identify issues accurately
  • Carry out welding and equipment repair as required to restore vehicle integrity
  • Assist with the installation of new parts and components, ensuring proper fitment and function
  • Maintain detailed records of all work performed for quality assurance and customer transparency
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and addressing client concerns effectively
  • Handle heavy lifting safely when moving parts or equipment around the workshop
Skills
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised diagnostic equipment
  • Experience with assembly, maintenance, and equipment repair processes
  • Knowledge of welding techniques relevant to vehicle repair tasks
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude towards clients
  • Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks and manual handling of vehicle parts
  • Good organisational skills to manage multiple repair jobs efficiently
