FRA​/PFP Carpenter; Temporary

Position: FRA/PFP Carpenter (Temporary)
We are looking for an experienced FRA Carpenters to lead a high-volume fire safety project. This is a specialist role requiring precision and a deep understanding of fire safety compliance-generic internal door-hanging experience will not be sufficient for this position.

Mandatory Requirements

Composite

Experience:

You MUST have previous experience specifically hanging composite fire doors.
PFP/FRA Background: A solid background in Passive Fire Protection (PFP) and Fire Risk Actions (FRA).
Technical Skill:
Ability to work to strict manufacturer data sheets and British Standards (e.g., maintaining 2-4mm perimeter gaps and correct intumescent seal placement).
Tools & Transport:
You must have your own car/van and full set of tools.

Key Responsibilities

Full installation of new composite fire door sets.
Ensuring all installations meet FD30/FD60 standards and are fully compliant for audit.
Fitting and adjusting fire-rated ironmongery, closers, and intumescent strips.

Qualifications (Preferred)

CSCS Card (Blue Skilled Worker preferred).
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery.
