Role Description This is a full-time, HVAC Service Engineer role based out of our Leicester office working nationwide. The HVAC Service Engineer will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs), statutory inspections, and reactive repairs on a range of HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment. Daily tasks include fault finding, diagnostics, and rectification, as well as commissioning, performance checks, and optimization of system efficiency.
The role involves completing service reports, maintaining accurate records, and communicating clearly with clients and internal teams about work undertaken and any recommended actions. The HVAC Service Engineer will also support emergency call‑outs, ensure compliance with relevant regulations and site procedures, and uphold high standards of safety and professionalism on every job.
Must have the right to work in the UK
Qualifications
- Strong practical experience in HVAC and HVAC Engineering, including servicing, fault finding, and system optimization.
- Knowledge of HVAC Design principles and the ability to understand technical drawings and system layouts.
- Familiarity with HVAC schematics and plans.
- Proven background in Maintenance & Repair of commercial and industrial HVAC plant, such as AHUs, chillers, boilers, and split systems.
- Relevant vocational qualifications or apprenticeship in HVAC, Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (e.g., NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent).
- Understanding of statutory compliance, health and safety regulations, and best practices for working on live systems and client sites.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full valid driving license and willingness to travel locally to client sites as required.
- Good communication skills, professional client‑facing demeanor, and accurate documentation and reporting abilities.
- F‑Gas certification and experience in commercial or medical environments are advantageous.
