Plant Fitter

Location: Leicestershire

We are working on behalf of a highly respected Plant Hire provider serving the East & South Midlands and currently have an exciting opportunity for a Plant Fitter based at their site in North Leicestershire.

Job Summary:

The Plant Fitter will be responsible for undertaking a wide variety of mechanical servicing, maintenance and repairs to various types of plant machinery both in the workshop and on site.

Key Responsibilities:

* Service and repair construction equipment or miscellaneous equipment, maintaining safe working practices throughout.

* Undertake routine inspections of plant machinery.

* Knowledgeable with contractors’ plant, for example: telescoping forklifts, dumpers, mixers, jet washers, water pumps, rollers etc.

* Fault finding and repairing plant machinery in the workshop and on site.

* Maintain a sufficient personal toolkit to enable you to carry out the job effectively.

* Ensure a smart and professional appearance, wearing appropriate work wear and PPE, and to ensure housekeeping in your work area is of a high standard.

* Flexibility to work overtime as and when necessary.

* Work in accordance with UK standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental care.

Qualifications /

Experience:

Relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of Plant Machinery, HGV’s or Forklift Trucks, including proven technical competence on diesel engines, transmissions, drive lines, hydraulics and electrics would be an advantage.

Driving License:
Full UK Driver’s license is required. A licence to drive heavy goods vehicles would be an advantage, however not essential.

Salary / Benefits:

Circa. £16.50p/h - £19.00p/h (Dependant on experience) + O/T + Benefits

Hours:

Full-Time:
Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week
