Minimum 5 years Working Hours Monday to Friday: 8:00am 5:00pm Lunch: 1-hour lunch break Saturday: 8:00am 12:00pm on a 1-in-2 rota Salary & Pay £26,000 £ 31,200 per annum after tax Approximately £500 £ 650 per week after tax Weekly pay Potential weekly bonuses of up to £100 About the Role An established independent service station in Timperley is looking to recruit an experienced and reliable Vehicle Technician to join its busy workshop team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who is confident working independently and takes pride in delivering a consistently high standard of workmanship. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and mechanical repairs across a variety of vehicles. They will be joining an established independent business that values reliability, technical ability and quality workmanship.
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years' experience , hold a full UK driving licence and have their own tools . An MOT Tester qualification would be preferred but is not essential .
Key Responsibilities Carrying out routine servicing and general vehicle maintenance Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults Completing repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, exhausts and other mechanical components Using diagnostic equipment to accurately identify vehicle faults Conducting vehicle inspections and identifying additional work required Completing pre-MOT inspections and preparing vehicles for MOT testing Carrying out MOT tests where appropriately qualified Ensuring all servicing and repairs are completed safely and to a high standard Maintaining accurate records of work completed Ensuring tools, equipment and working areas are kept clean and organised Following all relevant health and safety procedures Working effectively both independently and as part of the wider workshop team Skills & Experience Required A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or within a similar automotive role Strong mechanical servicing, maintenance and repair experience Good diagnostic and fault-finding abilities A full UK driving licence is essential Candidates must have their own tools Ability to work confidently across a range of makes and models Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Reliable, organised and capable of managing workload effectively MOT Tester qualification is preferred but not essential Relevant automotive qualifications would be advantageous Benefits Pension scheme included within the salary offering Company uniform provided 28 days' holiday inclusive of bank holidays Potential weekly bonus of up to £100 Weekly pay Permanent, full-time position Opportunity to join an established independent service station Apply This position would suit an experienced Vehicle Technician looking for a stable, long-term opportunity within an established independent service station in Timperley.
