Company Overview

The Roger Bacon Academy is an education management organization that manages multiple award-winning public charter schools in southeastern North Carolina.

We are seeking outstanding applicants to join our family of schools. Candidates may hold a degree in Education or a Bachelor’s degree in any field and will work with a Beginning Teacher Coordinator to determine next steps for lateral entry certification. Academic Coaches provide ongoing training and support.

This position may be eligible for a Teacher Supplement in addition to the base pay. Teachers are paid based on the North Carolina State Salary Scale for Bachelor's Degrees.

• Teach a large elementary class of diverse learners.
• Constantly circulate throughout the room, working with individual students, remaining on your feet at all times during the day.
• Implement the Direct Instruction curriculum, covering reading by phonics, writing with penmanship, spelling, grammar, style, and emphasis on mathematics, science, music, and art basics.

• Bachelor’s degree in Education with a valid teaching certificate from North Carolina or a partnering state.
• Or Bachelor’s degree in another subject area with interest in an approved residency plan for an Initial Teacher License (Roger Bacon Academy will assist).
• Coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis, Probability and Statistics, Algebra, and subject specialty departments is highly desirable.
