Role Snapshot Focus:
Setup and production on Star Swiss CNC machines; opportunities for seasoned CNC lathe setup machinists to cross‑train into Swiss.
Impact:
Ensure reliable, efficient throughput while holding demanding tolerances.

Core Responsibilities Set up and operate Star Swiss CNC machines.
Execute medium to advanced setups efficiently.
Install tooling, adjust and update offsets, and fine‑tune programs.
Load and run production to established manufacturing plans.
Track tool wear; replace tooling proactively.
Perform first‑piece inspections and submit internal first articles to Quality.
Verify part conformity using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and related precision instruments.
Qualifications Demonstrated experience setting up and operating Star Swiss CNC equipment.
4+ years of CNC machining in production or job‑shop settings.
Robust Swiss or CNC lathe setup expertise.
Blueprint literacy with strong GD&T comprehension.
Hands‑on experience with precision inspection tools.
Bonus:
Exposure to four‑ and five‑axis machining.
Compensation Experienced Star Swiss Setup Machinists: $32–$40/hr Experienced CNC Lathe Setup Machinists (Training into Swiss): $28–$30/hr Operators with a few years of CNC experience:
Starting around $25/hr Potential sign‑on bonuses available for exceptional Swiss Machinists.
