JOB SUMMARYPerforms nursing duties as they pertain to clinic nursing. Performs routine medical procedures and tests in conjunction with patient visits and assists the Provider as necessary.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS AND TRAINING REQUIREDMust be a graduate of a one-year accredited school of nursing (LPN). Must hold a current and valid North Carolina License as LPN. Maintains current BLS certification. Required to demonstrate competency in the performance of duties specific to infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Preferred: ACLS certification.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREDOne year of experience as LPN. One year experience in a clinic setting preferred. Should be proficient in clinic practice within one month of employment.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPSSupervises:
None
Reports To:
Clinic Manager, clinical direction from Provider
Works in light and temperature controlled environment.
WORK AIDSEquipment required by the practice; includes: IVAC/glass thermometer, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, weight scales, ACCU-CHEK blood glucose monitor, testpack Strep A, testpack HCG urine, centrifuge, autoclave, 02 canister, otoscope, Morgan lens, Ambu bags (adult and child) urinary catheters, abbocaths, IV fluids and tubing, tubex, Grafco eye chart, suture removal tray, skin staple remover, emergency cart and drug box, computer and printer, EKG machine, pulse oximeter.

- Remain capable of communicating and demonstrating all skills required for the position.
- Remain knowledgeable of the continuing education required for nursing license renewal and take responsibility for meeting at least the minimum required.
- Maintain AHA certification: BLS.
- Complete computer‑based learning modules timely.
- Continuing education should include at least 3 hours of orthopedic specific education annually.
