Job Overview

Novant Health Medical Group is looking for a compassionate, caring Advanced Practice Provider to provide primary health care and perform selective medical services under the direction of practice physicians. This position is for the Convenient Care walk‑in clinic in Leland, with a rotating weekend schedule (30 hours per week). The clinic operates Monday–Friday 10 am‑8 pm and Saturday–Sunday 10 am‑3 pm. Patients are seen for same‑day sick visits by appointment or walk‑in.

The role involves providing quality patient‑centered care and working with support staff.

• Master’s Degree required; graduate of an NCCPA accredited physician assistant program or NP or post‑Master’s NP program.
• One to three years of experience in Cardiology preferred.
• Current PA or NP license in appropriate state; NCCPA or state nursing board registry; ACLS, BLS, DEA registry required.
• Ability to complete generic and department‑specific skills validation and competency testing.
• Thorough knowledge of diagnosis and pharmacology; strong physical assessment and chronic illness management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; general computer knowledge preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration when necessary; problem‑solving and decision‑making skills; dedicated to patient rehabilitation and self‑care.
