This locum tenens anesthesia opening is ideal for CRNAs seeking short-term or contract anesthesia jobs in North Carolina. Work in a modern surgical center with a supportive anesthesia team, efficient OR flow, and expedited emergency privileging (privileging in under 30 days) for a fast start.
Key Requirements- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States (state license required)
- Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program
- Certification or recertification by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience as a CRNA (general anesthesiology / perioperative care)
- Familiarity with perioperative anesthesia care, intraoperative monitoring, and airway management
- Current BLS and ACLS certification preferred (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and document findings in the electronic charting system (SiS)
- Obtain and verify informed consent for anesthesia and discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients
- Induce, maintain, and emerge patients from anesthesia following institutional policies and ASA standards
- Monitor physiologic parameters intraoperatively and implement appropriate clinical interventions
- Coordinate care with surgeons, supervising anesthesiologists (MD to CRNA ratio ~1:4), and the perioperative team to ensure patient safety
- Adhere to facility infection control, documentation, and quality improvement procedures
- Modern outpatient surgical center with diverse case mix in general anesthesiology
