VanReady HVAC Service Technician

Rager Heating & Cooling of Leland is currently seeking an experienced, "Van Ready" Service Technician to join our team. The bulk of our work is in the Leland, NC area and surrounding communities. We are a small family business based in Leland with a strong and honorable reputation with a large customer base of terrific customers. Service Technician position duties include troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance check ups on heat pump, gas furnace, mini split, and zone systems up to 10.0 tons in residential and light commercial applications. Ideal applicant shall have a minimum of 5 years experience working as an HVAC Technician in an "On Call' service technician role, being proficient in the proper operation of the types of systems mentioned above.

Technician should have the skills necessary to be able to diagnose, and properly repair these systems; properly and neatly document and turn in appropriate paperwork for their calls, while performing these duties without having to have someone hold their hand; able to work independently, effectively, and efficiently, while maintaining a clean, stocked, and organized service van. EPA Certification and a valid NC drivers license are required.

NATE Certification, HVAC Diploma or Degree, Journeyman card, and / or installation experience is a plus.

Must have own hand tools commonly required for as an HVAC Service Technician. Ideal candidates should have great interpersonal skills, be clean cut, friendly, organized, polite, intelligent, and without personal drama that would hinder your abilities to perform the job. Also willing to work as a team player until the work is done for the day, and willing to share their knowledge and able to learn new things.

Pay will be based upon experience, knowledge, certifications, and abilities, and will be hourly plus On Call bonus, Performance Bonus, and Commissions. Obviously, if you have the required experience, you realize this at times is a physically demanding job, and you should be in good physical health and able to perform industry standard physical requirements, while working in very hot and sometimes tight conditions.
