Construction Superintendent - Field

General contracting company seeking a Construction Assistant Superintendent to oversee construction for a grocery store project. This position will initially be on a project-by-project basis, with the potential to become permanent. The position offers compensation of up to $80,000 per year, depending on experience, to be discussed during the interview.

Applicants should have experience overseeing grocery store construction projects and knowledge of all areas of construction. Candidates must be able to create and forecast schedules for the trades needed during each phase of the construction timeline. Applicants should have experience with ground-up and tenant improvement projects and knowledge of construction trades such as drywall, electrical, rough framing, tile installation, and more.

Candidates must know how to read plans, create project schedules, pull permits, and schedule inspections.

• Be willing to travel to the jobsite in Lemon Grove, California.
• Have grocery store construction experience or equivalent experience and be able to assist in managing a construction project at the jobsite.
• Know how to read blueprints and execute project specifications.
• Know how to organize projects, create schedules, and keep construction on schedule.
• Know how to complete documents, including daily reports with photographs and permit forms.
• Be able to provide updates through email and phone and participate in Zoom or Microsoft Teams meetings.
• Have their own tools.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Be able to pull permits from the appropriate city office.
• Schedule inspections with city inspectors as needed.

Applicants must be available to begin work immediately and be legally authorized to work in the United States. A valid driver’s license and other required documentation must be provided.

Pay: $35,152.00 - $80,000.00 per year
