Postdoctoral Appointee - MSD Autonomous Materials Lab at Argonne National Laboratory.

• Conduct materials synthesis using CVD/PVD or van der Waals fabrication.
• Characterize materials using scanning electron microscopy and related techniques.
• Contribute to developing an integrated autonomous lab system for structure-property characterization of novel materials heterostructures for quantum and microelectronics applications.
• Engage in programming, interfacing hardware, and developing machine-learning methods as part of an interdisciplinary project with material science, computer science, and robotics teammates.

• Ph.D. in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong experimental background in materials synthesis (CVD, PVD) or van der Waals materials.
• Additional expertise in machine-learning methods, programming, and robotics is highly desirable.
