Job Duties
Under general direction of DODDProgram Director & with required thorough knowledge of psychological theories, interventions, evaluation techniques & programs supervises the staff of the Psychology Department, (e.g. processes performance evaluations, signs leave forms); provide advice & consultation on psychological matters & plan, implement & assess psychological programs & services,conducts intake evaluations & annual updates on clients in caseload; conducts functional analysis of behavior problems;
develops behavior management plans in consultation with QMPRs, secures informed consent & HRC approval for behavior management plans: conducts behavioral procedures & counseling/therapy/training sessions with individual clients & small groups; reviews, approves & co-signs evaluations & updates;conducts annual work performance evaluation of Psychology staff; supervise psychology practicum students; orders needed tests & reference books. Conducts training for all new employees on behavioral principles, behavior management procedures, side effects of medications & work attitudes/relationship styles.

Conducts observations in the living unit or work sites; participates in IPP meetings, psychotropic medication review & special meetings; summarizes behavior data for IPP Meetings & 90 day reviews; consults with outside agencies serving clients; testifies in court proceedings. Minimum QualificationsLicense to practice psychology in Ohio pursuant to Section 4732.09 and 4732.21 of revised code; 12 mos. exp. as a licensed psychologist; 1 course in employee trg. & development or 3 mos. exp. providing work direction & training or supervision to psychology students, assistants, or psychologists.
Major Worker CharacteristicsKnowledge of clinical psychology; counseling; psychodiagnostics; psychotherapy; interviewing; statistics; project/program management*; employee training & development. Ability to understand abstract field of study; write meaningful, concise & accurate reports; write instructions, specifications, or technical manuals; define problems, collect data, establish facts & draw valid conclusions; recognize unusual or threatening conditions & take appropriate action; counsel others on sensitive matters; interpret extensive variety of technical matters in books, journals & manuals.
