Job Summary

M1 is looking for a Supply Technician to manage technical supply activities at NAS Lemoore.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform limited aspects of technical supply management work (inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Work is typically segregated by commodity area or function and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty.

    The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions and requires consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Assignments require: (a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and to recommend or take action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
Qualifications

and Experience
  • Knowledge of governing Military supply systems/programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines is required.
  • Experience with the following systems of OOMA, NALCOMIS, FEDLOG, ONE TOUCH SUPPORT, DSS-MRO DLA Tracking System, and other applicable procurement systems.
  • High School diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Thorough understanding of DOD aircraft maintenance processes preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computers (input/extract data).
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • May be required to obtain/maintain security clearance, DOD CAC privileges, and Special Access Badge requirements.
  • Must be able to work days, nights, and weekends as required.
  • Current valid U.S. Driver's License.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Willingness and ability to deal with customers and company employees in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ability to meet any Government/Company licensing or qualification requirements for the position.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in aviation maintenance or supply, or completion of formal DOD (USN, USA, USAF, USMC) training or industry/civilian training courses.
  • Thorough knowledge of packaging, storage, shipment, and transfer of property and supplies.
  • Thorough knowledge of DOD property accountability procedures, forms, and records – USN experience preferred.
  • Knowing the DOD supply system pertaining to aircraft parts, components, materials, and applicable maintenance/technical publications; USN experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical manuals, directives, oral and written instructions, and other applicable data.
  • Knowledge of elementary arithmetic: addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
  • Familiarity with general office concepts, practices, and procedures; computer literacy.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written).
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work assignments with little or no supervision.
Working Conditions

Environment ranges from office to hangar and flight line and requires extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
