Groundskeeper
Liberty Military Housing is dedicated to serving military families by providing comfortable, well‑maintained homes across the United States. As a Groundskeeper, you will support this mission by maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our community grounds and facilities.
Responsibilities- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, district office, pool, recreation areas, parking lots and surrounding community.
- Remove trash from grounds, office areas, homes and surrounding perimeter daily.
- Detail interior and exterior areas regularly using tools such as broom, mop, vacuum, rake or blower.
- Assist with snow shoveling (where applicable) of sidewalks and other main entry areas.
- Assist in the preparation of make‑ready units including removal of trash from vacant homes (trash outs), touch‑up paint and general cleaning prior to make‑ready.
- Assist with various physical tasks as directed; carrying and removal of abandoned furniture, tools, appliances and other equipment.
- Assist with repairs, replacement and installation of window and door screens, light bulbs and other fixtures.
- Help clean and maintain storage and shop areas.
- Assist Service Technicians when needed.
- Perform minor interior and exterior touch‑up painting/caulking.
- Clean air conditioning vents, replace air filters and smoke detectors.
- Perform any additional routine cleaning or maintenance on property as requested, as needed, or as directed.
- Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on homes, community and/or common areas to management.
- Comply with all OSHA safety regulations, local applicable laws regarding health, safety or environment and LMH Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
- Understand and follow safe work practices for all trades, including lockout‑tagout, confined space entry, use of hazardous chemicals, use of personal protective equipment, ladder safety and working from elevated surfaces. Perform any additional routine maintenance on property as requested by supervisor.
- Operate a company or personal vehicle to travel to various locations for work purposes.
- 1–6 months of general custodial/maintenance experience.
- Basic understanding of grounds maintenance.
- Ability to use hand and power tools and cleaning equipment applicable to job requirements.
- Effective communication and interaction with co‑workers, managers, vendors or residents.
- Basic computer skills (PC / mobile device) preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to operate a company or personal vehicle or electrical cart.
- Ability to travel to other regional locations for work, training, meetings and other activities.
- Ability to independently lift/carry supplies or equipment up to 65 lbs.
