Position: Nurse Practitioner (Outpatient) - Per Diem, AHMO Lemoore

Job Summary

Responsible for providing expert clinical care as a Nurse Practitioner. Assesses, plans, and delivers patient care in collaboration with attending physicians. Provides comprehensive health assessment, medical diagnosis of acute and chronic illnesses, writes prescriptions, formulates treatment plans, and evaluates responses in collaboration with physicians.

Job Requirements

Education and

Work Experience:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP):
    Required
  • Two years' relevant clinical experience:
    Preferred
Licenses/Certifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice:
    Required
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in state of practice:
    Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS, HS-BLS or RQIBLS) from approved vendor per AH policy:
    Required
Facility Specific License/Certifications
  • AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS:
    Required
Essential Functions
  • Interviews patients, constructs comprehensive medical histories, performs examinations, and explores patient interpretation of health needs under scope of practice.
  • Provides patient education, obtains informed consent, and gives referrals to health education classes when available.
  • Manages continuity of care, medication administration, and follow-up of acute/chronic issues and abnormal tests.
  • Maintains accurate, legible documentation including problem, medication, discharge, allergy, lab orders, and treatment records.
  • Uses cost-containment measures such as prescribing generic medications and ordering only clinically necessary diagnostics.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
