Summary/
Description:
Works as the Quality Assurance Supervisor.
Responsible for all NAMP compliant programs at NAMCE Lemoore. Works directly with and reports to the Program Manger to minimize discrepancies and rework within the Site. Ensures the Aircraft Servicing, repairs and overhauls of aircraft to ensure safety of flight airworthiness.
A Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor is responsible for maintaining and enhancing quality standards within an organization. They oversee QA processes to ensure that products or services meet specified requirements before reaching customers, acting as a bridge between management and operational staff. This role involves risk management, identifying potential quality issues, and implementing mitigation strategies to prevent defects and inefficiencies, thereby safeguarding customer satisfaction and organizational reputation.
Essential Job Functions:
Works as a qualified Mechanic III to ensure NAMP Compliance IAW SOP's and GOP's.
Quality Assurance Supervisor oversees and ensures that products or services meet established quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations while leading QA teams and driving continuous improvement.
Audits and Inspections:
Coordinates and performs audits of programs and processes, and finished products to identify deviations from quality standards and implement processes and controls.
The candidate will work on all aircraft systems beyond the Aircraft Mechanic I/II field of expertise, will work as a general Aircraft Mechanic III, in all regards maintaining and servicing the F/A-18 aircraft systems/components, as required and in accordance with applicable publications and governing instructions. Applies technical knowledge of aircraft system principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skill in restoring equipment operation, evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production mods, and recommends changes to installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
The Aircraft Mechanic III applies technical knowledge to solve aircraft system problems by interpreting manufacturer's manuals or similar documents. Required to be qualified on and work with some ground support equipment, special calibration equipment, special tools and all related maintenance manuals, maintenance requirement cards, parts breakdown manuals, technical directives, diagrams, schematics, blueprints and drawings.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Must have 10 years' O-level F/A-18 E/F aircraft system maintenance experience.
* Knowledge and use of Quality Assurance assets in the O-level Community. Required to perform assigned maintenance tasks.
* Shift work may be required, however this position is Day Shift.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent, Military Experience. Class A School (or military equivalent) for applied rate or possess a valid A&P license and recent aviation maintenance experience.
* Minimum 120 months Organizational level experience. Preferred to have 60 months' F/A-18 experience within the last 120 months.
* Preferred 60 months as a Quality Assurance Representative or Collateral Duty Inspector Authorization.
* Must complete SFF qualification syllabus and all qualifications to obtain SFF within 30 days of employment or as required by the 4790 and Program Manager.
* Current AS 9100.
* Obtain any additional qualifications or license required to maintain aircraft and qualifications.
* Must be physically able to perform all assigned duties and able to lift 50 lbs.
* Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
* May be required to qualify for additional certifications such as Low Power Engine Turn-Up Operator (LPT), High Power Engine Turn-Up Operator (HPT), and/or Plane Captain.
* Must have ability to inspect and maintain all company and customer assets, including all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), in accordance with applicable directives, and ensure that those assets are utilized in a safe, effective and efficient manner.
* Must have ability to participate in the investigation of any injury and/or the resolution of any problems in quality or performance that may hinder production or be detrimental to the program.
* Must participate in the training and qualification of new personnel.
* Must promote communication to enhance and encourage employee awareness of accident prevention, quality of work, and environmental compliance.
* Must promote positive communication with all site departments, company management, and our customers to ensure the proper execution of our contract.
* Must participate in required daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual training and ensure that it is documented in a timely manner.
* Complete initial attendance sheet daily, verifying your start time and proper accounting of all assigned PPE.
* Must be cleared and maintain clearance level required.
