Position: Financial Reporting Accountant
Location: Topeka, KS (On-site)
Duration: Full time & Direct Hire

Looking for corporate experience – dealing with financial statements – 1-3 years

Job Overview: As a Financial Reporting Accountant, you will prepare periodic financial statements required for internal and external reporting, collect, and analyze financial data, ensuring that all reporting follows GAAP reporting regulations and guidelines. This position is responsible for consolidating entries and accounts to be utilized in financial statements. This position will also work very closely with the AEWM Billing Specialist in ensuring the accuracy of client account billings, agent payments and other vendors payment calculations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Client Billings
  • Assist with Agent Payments
  • Calculate payments to other partners and vendors
  • Prepare various daily and monthly reports for management
  • Prepare and enter general journal entries
  • Prepare and distribute various internal reports
  • Monitor Cash Positions and Cash Flows
  • Assist with budget preparation and entry
  • Assist with external audit
  • Assist with system maintenance
  • Prepare intercompany billings
  • Prepare Financial Statements and Analysis for entities as assigned
  • Prepare Account Reconciliations for entities as assigned
  • Additional duties as assigned

Skills and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-3 years’ professional experience in financial services
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, Word)
  • Strong organization skills
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must have the ability to act independently, problem solve, and manage priorities effectively
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to interact with all personality types and with all levels of staff

Skills and Experience Preferred:

  • Experience with online banking platforms
