This role is based in Lenexa, Kansas and partners closely with operations in both Kansas and Chicago.

You'll lead the day-to-day accounting function while serving as a trusted financial partner to leadership.

Responsibilities include:

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
• Prepare accurate GAAP‑compliant financial statements
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
• Supervise a team of three accounting professionals (AP/AR)
• Coordinate audits and work closely with external accounting and tax partners
• Partner with operations to improve inventory accounting and financial processes
• Assist with ERP and accounting system integration initiatives across multiple business entities
• Develop and strengthen internal controls and reporting processes
• Collaborate with the Controller supporting the Chicago operation to deliver consolidated financial reporting
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to leadership

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred
• Approximately 5‑7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Previous experience as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or Controller
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month‑end close
• Comfortable working in a hands‑on environment where no task is beneath you
• Experience leading or mentoring accounting staff
• Naturally curious, proactive, and willing to ask questions
• Manufacturing, distribution, inventory, or private equity experience is helpful but not required
