About the job:
- General Accounting
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and supporting schedules.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Analyze financial transactions and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare supporting documentation for financial statement reporting.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports.
ERP System Administration & Process Improvement
- Utilize and maintain data within the company's ERP accounting system.
- Support process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and transaction processing.
- Collaborate with departments across the organization to resolve accounting and operational issues.
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial reporting requests.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate accounting environment.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience working with ERP accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Microsoft Dynamics, JD Edwards, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis functions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting audits and financial statement preparation.
- Advanced ERP or financial systems experience.
- Experience with process improvement initiatives and internal controls.
Work Environment
- This position requires regular on-site office presence and collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- The role operates in a professional office environment.
- May require occasional additional hours during month-end, quarter-end, year-end close, and audit periods.
