Position Summary We are seeking a Digitization Technician to perform the scanning and conversion of paper-based Indian Trust records into electronic format for the Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Trust Fund Administration (BTFA).

Work occurs primarily at AIRR in Lenexa, KS, with potential short-term (up to 14-day) assignments at alternative BTFA locations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following in exhaustive list of duties represents a sample of work routinely performed by this role:
* Digitize records using approved scanning equipment and BTFA policy-compliant processes.
* Prepare, scan, and verify scanned documents according to SOPs and digitization procedures.
* Assist with document prep and reassembly teams to support smooth workflow.
* Ensure proper handling, routing, and tracking of documents throughout digitization.
* Maintain adherence to federal records management requirements. Education, Experience, and Technical Skills Required Education, Experience, and Technical Skills
· High school diploma or equivalent. 1 year of experience operating digitization/scanning equipment and experience in document handling, digitization, or records management. Ability to follow detailed SOP’s, BTFA procedures and federal record-keeping requirements. Ability to obtain and maintain language a moderate public trust adjudication. Ability to travel to alternate sites for short-term assignments as required. Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Real  Passport in order to undergo commercial airfare travel Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license Working Environment This position operates in a professional office setting.

The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and photocopiers. The work environment is generally quiet and free from exposure to loud noise, hazardous materials, or heavy machinery. Employees are typically seated for extended periods and may occasionally move about the office to attend meetings or access equipment and supplies. Physical Demands Sitting/Standing:
This role is generally sedentary, performing sitting work utilizing technological office equipment, including a laptop, mouse, keyboard, computer monitors, telephones, scanners, and copiers. Walking:
