About the RoleAs a Tire Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring vehicle safety and performance by expertly installing, repairing, and maintaining tires on a wide range of vehicles. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction and safety by providing reliable tire services that meet industry standards. You will be responsible for diagnosing tire-related issues, recommending appropriate solutions, and performing routine inspections to prevent future problems.
This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute to the overall operational success of the service center and the safety of the driving public.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with automotive tools and equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy tires and work in various physical positions for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Previous experience as a tire technician or in a related automotive service role.
- Certification from a recognized tire or automotive service organization.
- Knowledge of tire balancing and alignment systems.
- Experience working with a variety of tire brands and vehicle types.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation to ensure safety and performance.
- Mount, dismount, balance, and align tires using specialized equipment and tools.
- Perform tire repairs such as patching punctures and replacing valve stems.
- Assist customers by providing expert advice on tire selection, maintenance, and care.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Document services performed and communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Stay updated on the latest tire technologies and industry best practices.
The required skills such as mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are essential for accurately diagnosing tire issues and performing precise installations and repairs. Physical stamina and the ability to handle heavy equipment ensure that daily tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
