Job Description Summary
We are seeding an outstanding individual to provide commercial support to our customers in our Eastern US area. The customers for this region are heavily located in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia. This position will also work closely with other team members within the business unit to develop and implement strategies to improve and/or maintain Aviagen’s standing in the industry by attaining the genetic performance potential of the Aviagen line of products.
Job Description- Sales of GPs and/or PS: negotiation, planning and coordination of GP and/or PS volumes in advance with customers.
- Coordination with planning and export departments to properly supply and deliver GP and/or PS shipments.
- Researching, revising, negotiating and communicating GP and/or PS prices to customers yearly.
- Writing of GP and/or PS sales budget and forecast, with periodic revisions and updates.
- Troubleshooting GP and/or PS deliveries and managing customer issues such as delays, cancellations, and shortages.
- Managing claims (credit notes, replacements, conciliations). Presidency/board support: monthly reporting to president.
- Benchmarking ownership: market research and information collection. Supporting acquisition of poultry businesses.
- GP and/or PS market share research and management of market share charts.
- Ongoing communication regarding business dynamics and performance versus defined goals, objectives and fiscal commitments.
- Customer insight: plan and coordinate periodic visits for key customers.
- Support key customers with expansion/growth plans, primarily GP distributors.
- Support PS sales growth through GP distributors.
- Support marketing for other commercial events for key customers.
- Product continuous research and identification of product specification needs within the region.
- Attend and contribute in product steering meetings.
- Schedule periodic visits to key customers with geneticists for product review and feedback.
- Schedule and agree on testing of new products with customers.
- Collaborate with regional technical services to collect data on current and test products.
- People development: develop organizational design to meet regional needs.
- Actively participate in selection of regional team members, act as leader, mentor emerging commercial leaders.
- Expense budget: develop and execute sales and technical support budget, control travel and office expenses, monthly control of budget vs actual.
- Managing technical service team: allocate assignments, partner with technical services to support technical activities and events, handle agreements and payment for external consultants.
- Salary planning for all members of the team reporting through business manager organization.
- Fully leverage information systems and tools such as Easy Flock, MaCRO, etc.
- Support internal regional meetings, actively manage development and performance of direct reports.
- Other: support marketing in events preparation and publicity improvement; support and interact with accounting, HR, planning, etc.; monthly expense reporting.
