Position Summary

The Product Manager – Lending and Credit Delivery will be responsible for the vision and roadmap for the capabilities AgVantis will deliver to Associations for Lending and Credit Delivery. The Product Manager collaborates closely with executive leadership, stakeholders, engineers, and product teams to ensure products meet critical success metrics and is responsible for the P&L of the product(s) they own.

Essential Functions
  • Manage the backlog of requests for new features, applying prioritization frameworks as necessary.
  • Focus on business problems, not solutions, and assess whether an Association’s needs can be met with existing solutions.
  • Create and manage product roadmap.
  • Understand and influence vendor roadmaps and assess impact on Association processes.
  • Assess whether a requested feature should become part of the base product or be a one‑off enhancement for a particular Association.
  • Responsible for ideation, scoping, development, launch, and follow‑up on features.
  • Define and analyze metrics that measure the success of products.
  • Communicate business needs to product support.
  • Communicate product status, key issues, and launch plans to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Execute Buy, Build, or Partner Analysis for new capabilities.
  • Define “minimum viable product” & product direction.
  • Perform stakeholder interviews.
  • Coordinate delivery and release, including training on new features.
  • Other Functions
  • Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Minimum Qualifications
    • Education including a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, business management, finance, computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
    • 8+ years’ experience advising or acting as a leader in a product‑led business technology organization.
    • 6+ years’ experience as a product manager, product owner or related experience.
    • Preferred experience with loan origination or loan accounting processes in the Farm Credit System or financial industry and developing and facilitating user training.
    • Experience in working on (or leading initiatives) including lending, servicing, and general accounting.
    • Strong knowledge of finance market, regulatory environment, and regulatory compliance pertaining to Farm Credit Associations (FCAs) and banking.
    • Experience and knowledge in Agile methodology.
    • Strong relationship management skills.
    • Skill in gathering, compiling, organizing, and analyzing information.
    • Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills across all levels of the organization (peers, management, C‑Suite leadership, and customers).
    • The ability to describe and demonstrate new and existing features to foster problem‑solving and illustrate the value of the product.
    • Knowledge of developing and facilitating user training and basic architecture of how digital applications are designed (UI vs back‑end).
    • Ability to communicate features to association leaders and employees and strong abilities to influence, keep team members engaged, and drive productive meetings.
    • Familiar with lending and credit underwriting functions.
    • Understands and creates product metrics, e.g., KPIs and OKRs.
    • Entrepreneurial spirit, self‑reliance, and a willingness to “roll up one’s sleeves” to understand details.
    • Curiosity and a growth mindset.
    • Moderate travel with overnight stays as required. The need for travel will depend upon projects.
    • Regular attendance is required on this job, with the ability to work a full 8‑hour day. Overtime as required to meet deadlines.
