Job Purpose

We are looking for an A-Level Vice President of Engineering who will leverage their extensive industry knowledge and experience leading engineering teams, as well as share in operational leadership and business development responsibilities. They will be well-respected in the industry and with a large network of existing relationships, they are eager to introduce SiTESPAN.

This is very much a start‑up opportunity, with only a small design group currently existing. The primary day‑one responsibilities will be working with the CEO and VP of Business Development to build the design team into a self‑sufficient project and revenue generator.

Key Skills

Retained fundamental knowledge in AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM, and strong computer skills necessary to accomplish (and support) electrical designs

Knowledge of NFPA Standards

Working knowledge of other building systems (e.g. fire alarm, low voltage communications, security, lighting controls and BAS networks)

Knowledge of fundamental business principles and practices

Ability to apply theoretical knowledge to achieve cost‑effective, constructible design solutions

Ability to work within a multidisciplinary design team in a fast‑paced environment

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; to express ideas; to share information; and to prepare clear, well‑organized correspondence, reports and similar documents

Job Description

Oversee the design and engineering of facility and building systems for data centers and other highly‑technical facilities in accordance with client requirements for reliability and uptime.
Work closely with our Build Group for design build efforts.
Work closely with our Advanced Mission Critical group on modernization and capacity improvement projects for live environments.
Work closely with management to implement best practices in building and maintaining new and existing client relationships.
Propose innovative solutions and strategize with the team to resolve concerns and/or conflicts that require adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
Provide leadership to the engineering team through effective coaching, delegation, and communication.
Develop processes to improve the cross‑functional team approach to Design‑Build‑Operate business practices of SiTESPAN. Ie: further develop the currenty highly‑functional team atmosphere.
