Braun Intertec is seeking Experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technicians to join our Lenexa, KS office.
Perform a variety of testing on construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt on onsite industrial, commercial and transportation construction projects throughout the region.
Receive in-depth technical training and industry certifications upon successful completion of examinations.
Responsibilities- Perform routine & complex sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
- Conduct field concrete testing, including slump, air content, and temperature.
- Perform field density tests of soils.
- Prepare daily reports and documentation of field activities in electronic format.
- Work with project managers and senior technicians to ensure specifications are followed.
- Assist with training & mentoring of junior staff, as needed.
- Strong safety focus and attention to detail.
- Excellent plan reading skills.
- Demonstrated math and technical aptitude.
- Flexibility to work extended or nontraditional hours as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- State DOT, ICC, and/or NICET certifications preferred.
- 1+ years of construction materials testing experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds.
- ACI Concrete Field‑Testing Certification preferred.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required.
- Comfortable working at or on uneven terrain, varying heights, confined spaces, or supported trenches.
Competitive compensation range: $50,000.00 - $74,000.00.
