Experienced CMT Field Technician - Construction Materials Testing

Braun Intertec is seeking Experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technicians to join our Lenexa, KS office.

Perform a variety of testing on construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt on onsite industrial, commercial and transportation construction projects throughout the region.

Receive in-depth technical training and industry certifications upon successful completion of examinations.

• Perform routine & complex sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
• Conduct field concrete testing, including slump, air content, and temperature.
• Perform field density tests of soils.
• Prepare daily reports and documentation of field activities in electronic format.
• Work with project managers and senior technicians to ensure specifications are followed.
• Assist with training & mentoring of junior staff, as needed.

• Strong safety focus and attention to detail.
• Excellent plan reading skills.
• Demonstrated math and technical aptitude.
• Flexibility to work extended or nontraditional hours as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• State DOT, ICC, and/or NICET certifications preferred.
• 1+ years of construction materials testing experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds.
• ACI Concrete Field‑Testing Certification preferred.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required.
• Comfortable working at or on uneven terrain, varying heights, confined spaces, or supported trenches.

Competitive compensation range: $50,000.00 - $74,000.00.
