3D Technician (Student Position)
The 3‑D Technician will assist the Art Faculty to ensure the Sculpture studios—including the wood shop, metal shop, foundry, and forges—are run safely and healthily.
Responsibilities- Under the supervision of the Sculpture Instructor, assist in maintaining the Wood and Metal studios.
- Monitor safety in the Wood and Metal studios.
- Help with general upkeep within these areas.
- Good conduct and academic standing with the college.
- Sheridan College student currently enrolled.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or greater.
- General knowledge of the sculptural process, wood shop safety, and metal shop equipment is a plus.
- Ability to safely handle tools and materials responsibly.
- Preferably an Art major with an interest in sculpture, wood, or metal; training will be provided.
Physical Requirements
- Comfortable working with a variety of art materials in safe and healthy conditions.
- Work in dirty, dusty, loud environments.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
