Job Summary
  • The Customer Service Representative delivers exceptional and consistent customer experience while handling routine to moderately complex health-related inquiries.
  • This role utilizes multiple communication channels including phone, email, chat, fax, and AI-supported systems to support patients and client groups effectively and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support client groups by performing routine health-related customer service activities.
  • Conduct routine outbound health-related calls using established scripts and procedures.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all patients and customer health information (HIPAA compliant).
  • Provide professional, respectful, and empathetic service, especially when communicating sensitive health information.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, fax, email, chat, and digital platforms regarding:
  • Patient test results
  • Test and service inquiries
  • Service concerns or complaints
  • General support requests
  • Ensure accuracy and quality while meeting productivity standards.
  • Support additional client groups as needed based on business requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and adapt to digital tools and automation technologies.
Required Qualifications
Work Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (required).
  • Healthcare or laboratory experience (preferred).
  • Experience meeting productivity, accuracy, and quality standards (preferred).
Required Skills
  • Strong customer service and communication skills (internal and external calls).
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy and professionalism.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Good computer skills, including Outlook and Excel.
  • Comfortable using phone systems, chat platforms, automation, and AI tools.
  • Ability to 10-key.
  • Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
  • Ability to thrive in a continuous environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs as needed.
  • Maintain consistent focus on quality and accuracy.
