Traffic Coordinator / Greeter

Job Summary

The Traffic Coordinator is responsible for efficiently directing vehicular traffic in designated areas, issuing valet parking tickets, upholding parking policy procedures, and assisting guests with luggage and directions. The role also provides attentive, friendly service to all patients and guests, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.

Job Details

Compensation: $15 – $17 per hour, based on skills, experience, education, and location.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday: 6:45am – 3:00pm,
8:30am – 4:45pm, or
10:00am – 6:00pm.

Eligibility depends on job classification, length of employment, and hours worked. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible for the above benefits.

Essential Functions
  • Direct vehicular traffic while providing friendly and attentive service to all guests.
  • Use guest last names, proper salutations, and maintain phone etiquette.
  • Assist guests with directions and inquiries, provide area information, protect confidentiality, and collect parking data when applicable.
  • Maintain claim checks, guest folio archives, and retrieve vehicles efficiently. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • One to three months of related experience or training; or equivalent education and experience.
  • Knowledge of traffic and valet procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in standard English.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with units of money, weight, volume, distance).
  • Understanding of 24‑hour/military time, applicable rates, and time passing.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Computer and register experience preferred.
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission and perform parallel parking.
Scope

Authority to Act: The job is routine; duties are performed under established practices and instructions with frequent verification.

Budget Responsibility: The employee has control only over available resources.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Work is largely outdoors in all weather conditions. Employees may sit or stand for extended periods, run, walk, lift up to 50lbs occasionally, and may be required to climb stairs, balance, stoop or crawl. Travel up to 5% may be required.
