Customer Service Rep
The Parks & Recreation department is currently accepting applications for a Customer Service Representative to work out of the Rec Center and Old Town Activity Center facilities. This is a part‑time position working up to 28 hours per week and requires open availability Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and the ability to work scheduled City events.

Position SummaryServes as the primary contact for all aspects of registering individuals for programs, memberships, activities, classes, and festivals and for all aspects of reserving indoor and outdoor facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Checks availability and registers individuals over the phone or in person for a program, activity, class, or membership.
- Assists individuals over the phone or in person with facility reservations.
- Explains rules and policies.
- Obtains necessary contact information from customers.
- Collects and enters payments, balances, cash drawer and submits cash journal reports.
- Contacts customers when issues arise.
- Communicates with Building Services staff regarding rental changes.
- Maintains clean and organized workspace.
- Answers phone, email and assists walk-in visitors.
- Follows up with renters and customers who have balances and paperwork due.
- Scans and files documents.
Minimum:
High school diploma or GED and two years of customer service experience.
Work is performed in a busy environment. The position requires the ability to sit for prolonged periods; mobility to move about the parks and recreation facilities as needed; and visual acuity to review information for accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned.
Compensation & BenefitsStarting hourly rate of pay is $18.96–$21.33 per hour dependent on qualifications and directly related experience. This is a non‑exempt position and is eligible for overtime pay.
