Position: Bilingual Paraprofessionals - Kansas City, KS

Job Description

Minimum 1+ years paraprofessional or special education experience required.

Bilingual Therapies is seeking dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessionals to join our team. These full-time positions involve providing crucial behavior support to students across K-12th grade. The ideal candidates will have a passion for working with children and adolescents, experience in behavior management, and a commitment to fostering a positive and productive learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Behavior Support: Provide direct behavior support to students in the classroom, helping them to stay engaged and on task.
  • 1:1 and Group Support: Assist individual students and groups with specific behavioral needs, ensuring they can participate fully in educational activities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, counselors, and other staff to implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and support the overall classroom environment.
  • Monitoring: Observe and monitor student behavior, providing feedback and adjustments as necessary.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior incidents, and interventions.
  • Communication: Regularly communicate with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding student behavior and progress.
  • Classroom Assistance: Assist with the implementation of lesson plans and other classroom activities as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree or higher preferred).
  • Previous experience in behavior management or working with students with behavioral challenges is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Commitment to supporting the educational and emotional well-being of students.
