Paraprofessional

Location: Andale, KS

Position Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and classroom management.
• Provide one‑on‑one or small group support to students, particularly those with special needs.
• Help students with assignments and understanding classroom material.
• Monitor student behavior and support a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Prepare and organize instructional materials and resources as directed by the teacher.
• Record and report student progress, behavior, and other relevant information to teachers and parents.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other staff to support student development and success.
• Participate in professional development and school meetings as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent;
  Associates degree or higher preferred.
• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of students, teachers, and parents.
• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting student success.
• Basic understanding of classroom management and instructional strategies.
• Must pass background checks and meet other district-specific requirements.
