Full-Time Special Education Teacher (Contract)

Location: Emporia, Kansas

Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher for a full-time contract position in Emporia, Kansas. We are currently interviewing candidates for this school-based role and invite qualified professionals to apply.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid teaching license or certification in Special Education in Kansas, meeting all local and state regulations.
• Minimum of one year of recent experience working as a Special Education Teacher, with a strong preference for experience with special education students and families.

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects, life skills, and social-emotional development, tailored to each student's individualized goals and abilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create inclusive learning environments and promote student success.
• Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies and interventions as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, IEP meetings, and communication with parents and stakeholders.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to special education best practices.
