Infant Teacher

Job Description

All Around Child is seeking a nurturing, dependable, and passionate Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our team. This role is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment where infants and toddlers can grow, explore, and thrive.

The ideal candidate demonstrates warmth, patience, strong classroom management skills, and a deep understanding of early childhood development. This position plays a vital role in supporting children’s physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth during their most formative years.

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with our curriculum and early learning standards.
• Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Ensure full compliance with KDHE licensing regulations, including safe sleep practices and health/safety procedures.
• Provide individualized care and support to meet each child’s unique developmental needs.
• Foster secure attachments and promote social-emotional development.
• Utilize positive guidance and effective behavior management strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, developmental observations, and assessments.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with parents/guardians regarding their child’s progress and daily experiences.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and leadership to maintain classroom consistency and quality standards.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.

• Previous experience working with infants and/or toddlers in a licensed childcare or classroom setting preferred.
• Knowledge of child development principles and developmentally appropriate practice.
• Understanding of safe sleep standards and childcare health and safety regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred but not required.
