Position OverviewAs an Electrical Superintendent
, you will bring expertise in industrial electrical installations, including underground duct bank, above‑ground conduit, cable tray, cable pulling (power circuits, control, and instrumentation), terminations (MV, LV, C&I), and electrical equipment installation. You will spend time in the field, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity of operations under your responsibility.
Kiewit Power Constructors (KPC) provides direct‑hire construction services for power generation utilizing a union craft force. KPC builds major EPC power plant and solar farm projects throughout North America.
LocationKiewit relocates teams based on available work and the development plans, skill sets, and career goals of each member.
Responsibilities- Provide supervisory direction to craft workers, managing performance of safety, quality, and production.
- Plan, schedule, and execute field operations ensuring compliance with contract specifications, electrical code requirements, and quality procedures.
- Coordinate and interface with other superintendents and subcontractors, ensuring smooth workflow and schedule adherence.
- Develop a schedule based on provided manhours to ensure timely completion and support the overall project schedule.
- Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties, informing project and corporate management as appropriate.
- Ensure project rules, procedures, and programs are followed consistently, including safety, attendance, and workplace behavior standards.
- Ability to travel and relocate as needed.
- 5+ years of work experience in industrial electrical installation scopes of work. Foreman or general foreman experience is encouraged.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performance.
