We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to support industrial and commercial construction projects in Lenexa, KS. This role plays a critical part in preconstruction and project planning by delivering accurate, comprehensive electrical cost estimates that drive successful project execution.
The ideal candidate is a self‑motivated, detail‑oriented professional with strong estimating expertise, design‑build experience, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Position Title: Electrical Estimator
Location: Lenexa, KS
Clearance Requirements: None
Position Status: Contract
Pay Rate: $25 - $35/hr
- Develop detailed and accurate electrical cost estimates for industrial and commercial projects.
- Perform plan/spec and design‑build estimating
, including material takeoffs and labor analysis. - Interpret and analyze electrical blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
. - Prepare, write, and review scope letters and estimate documentation
. - Apply engineering best practices and ensure compliance with NEC code (2020 and prior).
- Utilize estimating software, preferably Accubid/Anywhere
, to prepare estimates efficiently. - Support Project Managers throughout the preconstruction and project planning phases.
- Evaluate all aspects of project costs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and risk awareness.
- Collaborate with internal teams while maintaining the ability to work independently.
- Minimum 5 years of electrical estimating experience
. - Strong background in industrial and commercial electrical construction
. - Proven experience with design‑build projects
. - Deep understanding of construction practices, industry standards, and market conditions
. - Proficiency with Accubid/Anywhere or similar estimating software.
- Working knowledge of NEC code (2020 and earlier).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
. - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented, reliable, and solution‑driven mindset.
- Team‑oriented approach with strong organizational skills.
