Principal Specialist, Product and Technical Service

Overview

B/E Aerospace, Inc. d/b/a Collins Aerospace is hiring a Principal Specialist, Product and Technical Service in Lenexa, KS.

National and/or international travel 3-5 times per year to meet with customers, support OEMs, and attend team summit meetings.

• Support a product or line of products throughout its lifecycle from design to production.
• Interface with design, test, and reliability engineering teams to analyze and resolve product problems.
• Collaborate with Technical Publications to obtain final CMM approval and with Internal Engineering on revised design qualifications.
• Research and resolve complex customer issues promptly, following up directly with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Prepare documentation for assigned projects.
• Provide technical leadership to engineers and technical support staff.
• Respond to situations where standard procedures have failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment.
• Assist Product Support Specialists with incoming field questions, providing detailed research, answers, and documentation.
• Assist customers with installation, maintenance, and training support as required.
• Report design, reliability, and maintenance problems to relevant departments and follow through until resolved.
• Maintain performance matrices and analyze field data to identify performance trends.

• At least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive experience as a Design Engineer, Product Support Engineer, or related role.
• OR at least a master’s degree (or equivalent) in the same fields, and 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment involving gaseous or fluid controls.
• At least 3 years of experience providing technical support to businesses in Middle East and India regions.
• At least 3 years of experience developing and tracking customer data using ODM, JDE, SAP, or other database tools to analyze product trends.
• Non‑U.S. person must be authorized to work in the U.S. without immigration sponsorship; this position does not offer sponsorship.
