Position Overview Are you looking for an opportunity to be a part of a new, emerging nuclear market? Our nuclear safety culture is strong at Kiewit Nuclear Solutions. We are seeking experienced Structural Design support to join our team.

Your role will be essential to our operations, ensuring that your contributions are valued and impactful within Kiewit Nuclear Solutions. The Structural Estimator is responsible for material takeoffs, cost analysis, preparation, and presentation of discipline estimates to leadership and stakeholders for large and complex projects. The position also involves the maintenance of historical databases while assisting in the development of department procedures.

The targeted markets include but are not limited to Nuclear, DOE, and DOD contracts. Location The position is located in Lenexa, KS. Other locations may be considered. Responsibilities
* Develops high quality CAD designs and drawings for estimates and projects based on engineering information as well as experience
* Coordinate with other estimating and design group team members to review and exchange project information necessary for design and development.
* Checks design for consistency, safety, operability and maintenance requirements before submitting to checking.
* Reports task progress to Estimate or Project Lead.
* Gathers required information and collaborate with engineers and multiple disciplines to develop BIM models for foundations and steel structures.
* Leverages Building Information Modeling (BIM) to create plans, drawings, and details.
* Aid in the development of department standards and tools.
* Mentors other team members in design and modeling techniques.
* Resolve design issues effectively with input from responsible engineer.
* Relies on experience to develop preliminary concrete and steel models for estimating purposes Qualifications *
