Great mid‑sized firm looking for a physical and electrical substation designer.

Substation Drafter/Designer – Power Delivery (Overland Park, KS | In‑Office)

Salary: $100,000 - $135,000 per year.

• Provide drafting and design support for Power Delivery projects, with a primary focus on electric substation design.
• Develop and maintain AutoCAD drawings.
• Update existing drawings by incorporating engineer and designer markups.
• Assemble, organize, and prepare drawing packages for client deliverables.
• Utilize Bluebeam Revu Sessions and Projects to support drawing reviews, markups, and document coordination.
• Coordinate effectively with internal disciplines including structural, civil, and survey teams.
• Support project schedules and deliver high‑quality work that meets client expectations.
• Ensure compliance with company and client drafting standards, procedures, and quality requirements.

• Associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting substation physical and electrical design projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Experience with 3D design software such as Civil 3D, Revit, or Inventor is a plus.
• Ability to interpret and create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and substation physical, civil, and structural drawings.
