Location: Lenexa, KS and Chesterfield, MO

SummaryInterns at GBA Companies gain hands‑on experience in a collaborative work environment and have an opportunity to work side by side with industry experts. Our interns will work with engineering software such as Civil3D, AutoCAD and Micro Station.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Assist with design and 3D modeling of bridges.
- Support quality control processes and follow client design standards.
- Assist with design calculations and geometric layout.
- Help prepare plan quantities and cost estimates.
- Participate in field assignments such as construction inspections.
- Collaborate with a multi‑disciplined design team.
- Engage in an active learning environment with mentorship from experienced engineers.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Pursuing BS or MS in Civil Engineering or other related field from accredited program.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Excel software is preferred
- Experience with transportation and bridge related projects or internships is preferred.
- 2.7 GPA strongly preferred
- Finished at least two years of school
- Involved in campus, community, and other volunteer activities and/ or organization
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to sit, stand, walk around the office for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
