Fire Protection Engineer Intern – Mission Critical

Job Fire Protection Engineering Intern Fire Protection group Location Lenexa KS Build Your Future With GBA Companies is welcoming Engineering students to join us this upcoming summer for an internship in our Fire Protection group Summary Interns at GBA Companies gain hands on experience in a collaborative work environment and have an opportunity to work side by side with industry experts We treat each intern as an individual and have the unique ability to offer rotational opportunities for students who are still identifying their path

• Assist with preparing designs analyses calculations and models related to fire protection systems life safety systems and passive fire protection building features
• Assist with conducting project site visits to observe construction and witness system testing
• Follow quality control processes and design standards
• Collaborate with multi disciplined design teams
• Engage in an active learning environment with mentorship from experienced engineers
• Other duties as assigned

• Pursuing BS or MS in Architectural Engineering Fire Protection Engineering or another related engineering degree from accredited program
• 30 GPA or higher strongly preferred
• Experience with AutoCAD Revit and Microsoft Office software is preferred
• Experience with architecturalarchitectural engineering projects or internships is preferred
• Finished at least two years of school
• Involved in campus community and other volunteer activities and or organization
• Strong communication skills both oral and written
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

• Ability to sit stand walk around the office for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
